Coach Louis Mulkey

I saw this story on an ESPN "Outside the Lines" segment the other day.

It's a story that will probably have you weeping. It's a story that reminds me of the one common question we all have in the midst of tragedy and loss... "Why?" It's a story that reminds me that we don't know if we have tomorrow with those we know and love, let alone years and lifetimes. It's a story that reminds me of losing my son.

It's not easy to watch, but it is very much worth it.

PART 1 (9:54)

PART 2 (5:26)

Greg,
All I can say is "Wow."
I have said "Why" too many times in the last year to count.
So today I just say, "Wow".

And, "Thank you."

WOW! WOW! WOW! That is very powerful and does make you stop and think..... Which most of us are guilty of NOT doing until it's something that affects us directly. Thinking of you guys still and praying for you. Thanks for the reminder!

Yikes, I think my first post got lost. Great video. The first 30 seconds I had my doubts if I could watch it (don't feel bad I had to walk out of the last part of Bolt last weekend too.)

My heart was heavy when he wife said, 'We had alot of years left'. That is the way I feel often, so much left to do and say and be....But, then I think of eternity. And it lifts the hurt some. This world is not our home....

More quotes:
well there were two other quotes I really liked too, something about life being a game to win and how to honor, by wining..(I am sure I do not have the quotes right). But, how do we win at life, by accepting Jesus Christ as our Savior, by not letting satan beat us down with his lies, schemes and guilt. And I think by following Jesus and trying to become more like him, is honoring to our loved ones.
Take care, In God's Love, sheila

Wonderful post. Thanks for sharing that video, I had not seen it before. I live in Charleston, SC and that was a very hard time for our city. The father of a former student of mine was the only survivor from his station that night. He has carried the weight of that burden on his shoulders since then.
