Just a quick thought here for you...
Please remember Nicol this afternoon as she will be recording... starting at about 1:00cst... we'll probably be at the studio for 4-5 hours. She started with a cold last Friday and it seemed to be pretty much gone by Tuesday or Wednesday, but she woke uo a bit congested again this morning. Please pray for strength (in every way, given the circumstances) and that this cold would not be a problem for her today.
Pray too for Summer... that she will have fun with her Aunt Shawn and cousins, Chase, Jordyn, and Jenna this afternoon... and, for Shawn's sake, that she will get a good nap! [ :-) ]
Grace and peace.

You are in my prayers!
Julie Doody ;-)
We are praying! Sunshine
Dear Greg & Nicol--My heart truly goes out to your entire family. I have unfortunately experienced what you have went through 5 times through friends, family and wondered why, oh lord, why?!
I remember reading this poem on one of my friends post after she buried her second child.
I have to share it with you, author is anonymous.
I WANTED SO MUCH FOR YOU
BY- Author Unknown
I wanted so much more for you, my sweet little baby.
I wanted to change your diapers, not my life.
I wanted to nurse you, not my grief.
I wanted to dress you up, not bury you down.
I wanted to hear the sound of you crying for me at night,
not my own sounds of crying for you.
I wanted to see you grow, not the grass upon the grave.
I wanted to see you asleep in the crib, not in the casket.
I wanted to give you life, not death.
I wanted to show you off, not alone go on.
I wanted to comb your soft hair, not save a lock of it.
I wanted to pick up after you, not put down my dreams for you.
I wanted to hold you in my arms, not this teddy bear.
I wanted to walk you late at night, not my fears.
I wanted so much for you my baby boy.
I wanted so much more.
I wanted you.
In Christ-
Your friend in Indiana
Praying all goes well this afternoon. Please know you are in my thoughts and prayers without ceasing.
With His Everlasting & Amazing Love,

I just think about you all so often and feel compelled to pray when I do. I pray that Nicol's recording session was blessed today.
How did it go? Thought of you all day. I kept finding myself humming old hymns I haven't thought of in years (the only one I can remember now is "Leaning on the Everlasting Arms") and every time I did the Lord brought Nicol to my mind. Sleep well tonight. I will talk with you tomorrow.
Love,
Sis
Oh please tell us how it went! Share a glimpse maybe?
Nicol's voice is amazing...i have always loved to listen to her sing. I hope today was good...in whatever way you all needed it to be!
May you be surrounded by God's blessings right now!
I am praying that the recording session went well today.

I pray all went well today for your family. I am so thankful that Nicol went to sing today...I pray that God filled her up with strength and comfort and everything she needed to sing the words of both songs. I also pray for you Greg with how much you care and love your sweet Nicol. I pray that Summer had a fun day playing with her cousins! May God show himself amazing in your life even in the little bitty small things.
Becky
So sorry for your loss.
Take care,
Julie H.
Also wondering how the recording session went. Strangely, I feel so close to Nicol simply because her voice reverberates throughout my home, car, and yard when I am working in it. When you listen to someone like Nicol sing it gives you a glimpse inside their soul What an intimate thing! Praise God she is using her wonderful gift to glorify the King.
My husband and I were priveleged enough to worship with Pastor James MacDonald of Harvest Bible Chapel two years ago at the Sears Center. Nicol sang "Resurrection" while playing piano and it just so happened we were in such need of resurrection in our marriage and family life. The Holy Spirit moved through her voice straight to our hearts and I can honestly say it was a major turning point for us!
I pray for you both every single day. As I listen to Nicols cd's it reminds me to keep her lifted to the One who can ultimately heal her wounded soul and heart.
I have no words for your loss. Only love for your family. I pray that we who love Nicol through her music can bring your family as much comfort through our prayers and support as she has brought joy to our ears in listening!
Peace be with you!
I read your post yesterday before it was changed. I am amazed at your compassion for others and concern of offense at a time of such intense pain for you and your wife. I reflected on the post today as I went to visit a friend in our church who lost her son to violence this morning. It truly helped me check my words and simply offer a hug and a "I'm so sorry". Praying for God's continued strength for you and your family in the daily challenges of continuing to live life after your heartache.

Greg and Nichole, may God bless your family as you venture through this uncertain life. My heart hurts for you and your loss of your precious Son. After reading most of the comments to your blog, I see that you are blessed with so many family and friends. God works miracles, for which some are blinded by. For you, you are strengthened by your friends.May the Lord be with you on your journey and keeps you in his grace. annomous.
Dear Greg and Nicol~
Please let us know how the recording session went this past Friday. Both of you were heavily on my heart, accompanied by many tears and prayers on your behalf.
May you feel His presence and see glimpses of the One who will set all things aright..... and even better will dry every tear.
P.S. I hope to attend the Laban Ministries event in MI in October. It would be a pleasure to meet both of you.
Take Care~
Annise
Just got a chance to catch up on your blogging this week. I hope Nicol's session went well yesterday. Whenever anyone one says something hurtful to me about my daughter, and the way I choose to parent my children, I just repeat the words to myself "it is what it is". I can not change them and I most certainly am not going to let their ignorance ruin my day. Just say a prayer for them and move on with your day. My motto for life is "do good and good comes back" I just hope good is finding it's way to you today.
