Update & Prayer : 91508

Forgot to mention this yesterday...

When we met with our realtor, Suzanne, last Friday, she mentioned a family that is moving to the area and said that they will be here this coming weekend to look at homes. Our house is listed in their price range and it is close to where the wife/mom will be working. We are praying that they will be interested in looking at our house and that they will be able to see it this weekend. Please pray with us.

===============
A quick update and some prayer requests...

We made it back to GA Thursday evening. It has been good to see our friends and spend time with them, but it is tough to be here. There are many reminders of a terribly dark time. We are staying at a friend's place and are at our house only to do the things that need doing in order to get it ready to sell. We met with our realtor on Friday morning and took care of all that. We have LOTS to do.

On a very funny note, yesterday at church the pastor, as he always does, invited the little ones to the front so that he could tell them a story before they were dismissed for kids' church. He started out by asking them, "What do you all call each other?" or something to that effect. He quickly moved on with his story when a little boy responded, "My momma calls my dad a jerk." Oh boy...

PRAISES
--safety while traveling back to GA
--fun times with our friends
--getting things settled with our realtor
--a group of ladies are planning to come on Saturday to help pack

PRAYER
--finish painting the laundry room on Monday
--pack up/rearrange/stage the guest room and Summer's b-room on Tuesday
--pack up/rearrange/stage the master b-room and dining room on Wednesday
--pack up/rearrange/stage the office and living room on Thursday
--have a FUN day on Friday
--pack up/rearrange/stage the kitchen on Saturday
--have everything staged by the end of Saturday
--have FUN evenings together
--Nicol told me today that it's all she can do just to be in the house... please pray for her broken heart
--grace and patience... especially for me

Love and thanks to all...

I can not being to say that I can even fathom how you and Nicol are feeling however my heart goes out to you.

In having four children I can not imagine what you and your entire family are going through. You all will remain in my prayers during this very tough week. I know that this must be very difficult for the both of you.

You are blessed to have such good friends that you are able to stay with so as not to have to be spending nights there. I can imagine how hard that would be for you.

Will continue to think of you all and pray that things go well!!

May God Bless you!

Oh! I have been praying. I woke up this morning with you guys weighing heavy on my heart and found myself actually teary-eyed as I prayed for you. I couldn't shake it and so I figured I was supposed to pray more for you today than usual. I hope that the Lord has blessed you today. Tell Nicol we are all praying for her and the difficulty she is having being in the house.

May God shower you with his strength and encouragment and show you His mighty love and grace!

Praying for all that you have requested and especially for Nicole's broken heart. May God carry you through all of the preparations to sell your house and provide you with a buyer right away. I pray for you all each day that the Lord give you the strength for the day to make it through. Asking Him to bless you beyond measure for your pain. I know He will, in His time. For now, draw close to eachother and let nothing but Him come between you. You guys are loved out here in California.

Love and Hugs, Laurie in Ca.

Ps 34:18 " The Lord is near those who have a broken heart, and saves such as are crushed in spirit"
Romans 8:18 "For I consider that the sufferings of this present time are not worthy to be compared with the glory that shall be revealed in us"
Your comment about Nicol's broken heart reminded me of these verses the Lord showed my right after I lost my baby. God has her in His hands. I pray that God will give you energy, peace and his grace to make it through this tough week.

I'm so, so sad reading your post tonight. So much has been taken away from you. Not just the obvious, the life of your beautiful son . . . but just the simple joy and innocent love of a family who will never be able to go back to how it was before. My heart hurts for you just thinking of you having to now give up your home too.
I pray for all of your needs -- both written down and those unspoken on your heart.

I can't even imagine how hard all of this must be on you both. My children are my life and I can't even fathom your pain. I'm so sorry and I'm praying for you.

Please give Nicol our love. If we lived closer, we'd happily help paint and stage! I hope others around you are able to help carry some of that burden!

Being a NICU nurse I have been greatly impacted by loss. I still cannot fathom what you must be going through at this time and I pray for you and your family often. I would like to urge you to remember that God gave us emotions for a purpose and wether it's crying or screaming or simply sitting quietly...do it. God will use it in the process of healing, but also remember that it is a process. Praying for you often.

In Christ,
Kendra

Praying that God continues to give you the strength and courage to face this continued difficult time. I can't imagine. Praying for God's kind of band-aid for the broken hearts. Praying for God's kind of Tylenol for the pain.

Praying!!!

Oh, I do pray that everything moves quickly and easily - that everything on your to-do list gets done. I pray for comfort and peace while ya'll are working in the house, and that God will give you happy memories while there.
Also, that all of your hard work pays off, and the house sells quickly.

My heart feels heavy for Nicol today. I will continue to pray for each of you and for peace to come over Nicol each time she needs to go to the house. I am sure you have lots of pictures of your house and yard and all that was special before things changed. It may be worth taking some pictures now for your family. Sometime down the road each will want to connect and I think some pictures of this time will help the healing. There were happy times in your home. I hope that makes sense. I will continue to pray for a quick and easy sale, God is not concerned about the housing market, and peace that only God's love and mercy can give. Hugs and smiles to each of you. In God's Love, sheila
